About
Welcome to Coffee Hut, a delightful little haven nestled within the bustling Berseh Food Centre at 166 Jln Besar, Singapore. Known for its rich offerings and authentic local flavors, Coffee Hut is a must-visit for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic taste of Singapore’s coffee culture. This quaint coffee spot has quickly garnered attention for its extraordinary kopi selections, proving to be a favorite among patrons.
At Coffee Hut, the kopi (Singaporean coffee) is the star of the show. Reviews highlight the remarkable kopi C Siu Dai, known for its rich bittersweet flavor, capturing the hearts of many coffee enthusiasts. Customer 'Nicola L.' aptly rated it with four stars, praising its exceptional taste while highlighting that Coffee Hut consistently delivers a coffee experience that rivals even the best cafes in the city.
However, not everything on the menu has met the same acclaim. The kaya bun, while not a standout, allows room for improvement, with reviews noting it as 'average' and lacking in flavor. A better toasting technique and more pronounced kaya could elevate this dish to match the acclaim of the coffee.
Each visit to Coffee Hut can transform any ordinary day into a special moment. Regulars and first-timers alike rave about the atmosphere—a place where you can savor the rich traditions of Singapore while enjoying good conversation. As James V. attested, the coffee and kaya toast experience here were irresistible enough to warrant multiple visits during his stay. Enthusiasts agree that Coffee Hut is a hidden gem, a spot where you can indulge in the authentic essence of Singaporean cuisine paired with a warm, inviting ambiance.
In conclusion, if you find yourself wandering through Berseh Food Centre, be sure to pay a visit to Coffee Hut. With its exceptional kopi offerings and a touch of local charm, it's an experience you won’t want to miss. The silky smooth coffee alone makes this little shop a culinary highlight in the lush landscape of Singapore’s vibrant food scene.
“ Kopi C Siu Dai - 4 stars Rich bittersweet flavor. One of the best kopis I've had! Kaya bun - 2.5 stars Average. Not well toasted. Couldn't quite taste the kaya and the butter was unremarkable - overall the bun wasn't very fragrant or flavorful. ”
“ As an out-of-country visitor, my Singapore coffee palette probably isn't very refined. That said, I was quickly addicted to the kopi experience and found the kopi and kaya toast here at Coffee Hut to be among my favorites. We had to come twice during our stay. ”
“ Berseh Food Centre is really a gem hidden from yelp for some time. The coffee here is 5 stars makan sutra. It's kopi O is silky smooth, no sour coffee after taste. The guy inside made it that way. It's not heavy in the sense of taste but sure as good in perkin you up as any kopi O. Kopi Siew Tai (coffee with milk less sugar) is just as marvelous but it's probably not as distinct as other Kopi Siew Tai. Kopi is as good as it gets and I suspect the "kopi o" song is composed here. ”
“ Better than Ah Kun and Toast Box. Ask the boss to add more si (evaporated milk) to kopi si by topping up 30 cents. The taste is silky smooth. ”
